girl, has
settled with
the Recording Industry Asso-
ciation of America a day after
being sued 4illegally
sharing
music files through
the
Internet
on September 11th 2003.
She's
the 1st of 261 defendants
2settle their lawsuits with the
association.
(She
agreed Tuesday 2 pay $2,000,
$2per
song she
allegedly shared.
The suit claimed LaHara had
been
offering 1,000+ songs over the In-
ternet using
the Kazaa
file-sharing
service.)
(Record companies
claim
that illegal
music
file-trading is
2blame 4a 31%
fall in CD sales since mid-2000.)

the sale of CD with single
songs has gone
skyhigh: the music
industry is quiet about
that.)
