This is A VERY BOLD MOVE on the part of President Putin. Let's not forget: THE AMERICANS PROVOKED ALL THIS AT THE VERY START IN 2014. We are where we are BECAUSE THE AMERICANS DID NOT MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESSS: they were bent on harassing Russia. The USA is to be blamed for THIS WHOLE MESS. Europe (like the Ukraine) depends on Russian gas, NOT the USA. Clearly, THE BAD GUY is the USA: THE WORLD'S NUMBER ONE TROUBLE MAKER. (Just ask the Latino how much they love the USA and the CIA-backed death squads that killed those who were fighting for democracy and social and economic justice: journalists, political leaders, clergymen, union leaders, ... . Ha! Ha!) Some countries, I understand, like Poland are having SECOND THOUGHTS in having joined the EU. NATO forces in Poland are regarded by many Poles as an occupation force. The Ukraine decided AT THE LAST MINUTE NOT to join the EU. Had the Americans respected their wish NOT TO JOIN THE EU, there would be NO RISK of lost of life due to war in the region. THE INSTIGATOR OF THIS WHOLE GEO-POLITICAL MESS is the USA, a war mongering country involved in "DECADES" OF UNPROVOKED, UNJUSTIFIED, UNNECESSAY, COSTLY WARS that has bankrupted the country. The CRIMEA, a politically independent entity, VOTED - OVERWHELMINGLY - TO "FREELY" JOIN RUSSIA. These TWO OTHER POLITICALLY INDEPENDENT REGIONS OF THE UKRAINE will get a chance to do the same. They'd be BETTER OFF BY FAR as part of Russia. I'm sure the residents of Crimea have NO REGRETS in joining RUSSIA. BECAUSE the Ukraine is ONE OF THE MOST CROOKED COUNTRIES in the world (thanks in no same measure to the USA), it has NO FUTURE. Russia has THE BRIGHTEST FUTURE among all countries of the world. THE COMING DECADES BELONG TO CHINA.
