There are TWO (2) THINGS particularly SCANDALOUS about THIS ADMINISTRATIVE, "Status Quo" POPE: THE FIRST being that he is NOT of the "Liberation Theology" persuasion [like I am (Ha! Ha!)] + THE REASON FOR THIS is "probably" Pope John Paul II's promise to the U.S. Gov't (a promise he later said was A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL in return for FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR POLAND - which by the way, THE AMERICANS had promised Russia, but Russia NEVER GOT A U.S. CENT) to displace all those of the "Liberation Theology" persuasion to positions of no influence in the Latin American Catholic Church + by extension, NOT to elect any bishop as cardinal who'd be sympathetic to  "Liberation Theology" (which is THE ONLY PATH FORWARD FOR THE "MILITANT" CHURCH IT IS CALLED TO BE). The liturgical + prayer life of the Church has ONE (AND ONLY ONE) FUNCTION: to equip the baptized to be an ALTER CHRISTUS who "denounces" SOCIAL + ECONOMIC JUSTICE. This is THE ESSENCE of "Liberation Theology". THE SECOND SCANDALOUS THING is THIS POPE'S KNOWLEDGE of the presence of Catholic priests when people were tortured in Argentina in the 1970s due to is ANTI-MARXIST "POGRAM" - pushed onto the Gov't by the USA that was bent on stamping out MARXISM in Latin American AT ALL COSTS). The tortured considered guilty of Marxist sympathies were then pushed out of military planes into the Pacific Ocean. THE QUESTION, then is THIS: TO WHAT EXTENT WAS THIS POPE "knowingly involved" in THIS DIRTY U.S. BUSINESS? The have been no mea culpas.
