Japan's FUTURE as a strong independent nation is WITH China. TO BE FRIENDS with China it needs to get the U.S. Military out of Japan + get rid of its military altogether. A war with China (which THE AMERICANS ARE PUSING FOR) means that Japan will be incorporated into China, ONE LESS IRITANT FOR CHINA. :D China only has to take out Tokyo (and that can be done FAST - within HOURS) + there is NO MORE INDEPENDENT Japan.
