How it works? Do they care? Do they feel the Gov't cares about them, the Japanese people? WHAT PERCENTAGE of Japanese people feel if THEY COULD LEAVE JAPAN "BEHIND", they would GLADLY? Japanese elderly go "intentionally" to jail in order to have three (3) meals a day: how do THEY FEEL about their Emperor, his family, their Gov't? In ONE WORD: betrayed! There's the exorbitant cost of post-secondary education that IMITATES THE AMERICANS. You have the USA LEADING Japanese foreign policy BY THE NOSE. You have THE YAKUSA running the major cities - for whose benefit? THE JAPANESE PEOPLE? Then, THERE'S CORRUPTION IN THE JAPANESE GOV'T RELATED TO THE YAKUZA. The Japanese FAIL TO REALIZE that the U.S. Gov't is 100% CROOKED because there is ZERO FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY, but yet THE JAPANESE RUNNING THE GOV'T WANT TO IMITATE THE USA. It begs the question: HOW CRAZY ARE THESE JAPANESE. (The Koreans, in this regard, are NO BETTER.) When the Japanese Gov't DOES SOMETHING GOOD for the benefit of the Japanese People, THE JAPANESE PEOPLE seem to be SO SURPRISED: "OH, MY GOD! They ("our" Gov't) thought about us." It seems to happen ONCE in AWHILE. (Ha! Ha!) It seems to be a "mere" accident. In short, THE JAPANESE PEOPLE "feel" - in my view - DISENFRANCHISED BY THEIR GOV'T (i.e. They feel as if THEY DON'T COUNT). Who "dares" criticize the Gov't? NOT ALLOWED. NOT HAPPY WITH THE EMPOROR, you keep that to yourself because he's JAPANESE and criticizing ANYTHING JAPANESE is just silly when, you, yourself, are Japanese. SO WHEN IT COMES TO "THEIR" GOV'T + "their" EMPEROR, they "POLITELY" LOOK AWAY. :D This situation does NOT BODE WELL for the Emperor + his council of Samurais. THE SOLUTION: get rid of the YAKUZA; design the Gov't so THE JAPANESE PEOPLE "can know" where THEIR MONEY IS GOING; design the Gov't in such a way as TO REASSURE THE JAPANESE PEOPLE that their Gov't is WORKING TO GIVE "THEM" THE MAXIMUM BENEFIT. Then, JAPANESE WOMEN will be willing to consider having babies. OTHERWISE, THE ASSESSMENT OF JAPANESE WOMEN IS QUITE RIGHT: WHAT'S THE POINT of having babies, an unnecessary burden. WHEN YOU'LL GET NO HELP FROM THE GOV'T who seems to be operating up in the clouds along with the Emperor? (Ha! Ha!) As things stand, the Japanese are more inclined - by the day - to becoming A PEOPLE-RUN REPUBLIC: THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL. SO, WHAT is the Emperor going to to about it? His daughter ran off to New York: she got away. I'm sure A LOT OF JAPANESE WERE THINKING: LUCKY GIRL! (Ha! Ha!) I wish I could do the same. REMEMBER the words of Deputy Prime Minister, Taro Aso (one of Japan's GREAT INTELLECTUALS - I say this in jest) saying that JAPANESE WOMEN WERE SELFISH FOR NOT WANTING BABBIES. I doN'T think they're selfish. I think they're VERY SMART! THE JAPANESE GOV'T HAS TO "SMARTEN UP" for Japanese women to want to have babies. THE FAULT lies NOT with THE JAPANESE WOMEN, but CLEARLY, WITH THE "INSULAR" JAPANESE GOV'T. I say all this NOT TO RIDICULE THE JAPANESE GOV'T, NOR THE EMPEROR, but BECAUSE I WANT "THE BEST" FOR THE JAPANESE PEOPLE (whom I admire greatly - for their style and their unique way of thinking) and WANTING "THE BEST", ALSO, MEANS I WISH JAPAN WILL "BECOME GOOD FRIENDS" OF CHINA because China is THE ONLY COUNTRY that has THE MONEY TO INVEST ABROAD. I'm painfully aware ASIAN CULTURE is offended by any + all criticism UNLIKE THE WEST which thrives on criticism.
