A lot of African countries are "still" wallowing in anti-colonial rhetoric used to justify crooked African governments. This is SILLY, CHILDISH, not to say STUPID + ANTI-PROGRESSIVE. That said, my 18-year daughter, Maria, through a French Catholic agency helped to build latrines in Benin + had one of THE BEST TIMES OF HER LIFE. She paid to have African clothing made for her + have her hair styled the African way. I only learned about all this after the fact as I'm divorced. (Ha! Ha!) By the way, I work as one of the people in charge of the orientation + reception program of CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) African trainees in 1974 + 1975. As a young man, I even considered joining a Catholic religious order devoted to Africa. MY CONCERN re: African is ALL THOSE BLACK CHILDREN who die due to starvation + for those BLACK AFRICANS not having a little bit of money to buy medication that would save their lives + then, there are all those orphans due to AIDS. It is "expected" that Africa will have THE MOST ECONOMIC GROWTH this century. For that to happen BLACK AFRICANS HAVE TO MAKE A "COLLABORATED" EFFORT to make NON-BLACK people welcomed + that means putting aside THE OUTDATED, ANTICOLONIAL, grating, caustic-sounding RHETORIC behind them.
